Apple cider vinegar
Keep color from fading by using apple cider vinegar. It is well known that apple cider vinegar has multiple health benefits and has been used for many ailments and beauty hacks including weight loss. No matter what your hair color, salt water and the blazing sun can seriously dull the shade. Apple cider vinegar will brighten it back up! Just pour 1/2 cup into a spray bottle and spritz your hair. Leave it on for about 10 minutes, and rinse it out. Use this trick every time you spend the day outside, and your amazing color will last much longer.
Sooth and hydrate itchy scalp with yogurt. Yogurt is a rich source of zinc, lactic acid, different types of Vitamins, protein, calcium and yeast which are good for the hair. The high amount of lactic acid and antifungal properties present in yogurt can help to promote hair growth and to control dandruff. The high amount of protein present in yogurt makes your hair strong and keeps them well moisturized. Being an antibacterial in nature, yogurt will also give relief from scalp itchiness. Simply take half a cup of plain yogurt and put it in a blender to make a paste. Coat your hair with this smooth paste before taking a shower. After applying the yogurt along the length of your hair and scalp, wrap your hair tightly with a piece of cotton cloth or towel and allow it to sit for around half an hour. Finally use lukewarm water and a mild shampoo to wash your hair properly.
Coconut oil and sea salt
Exfoliate dry dead skin by using a mixture of coconut oil and sea salt. Coconut oil has historically been used in many natural beauty products because it’s antibacterial and antifungal. The number one reason it’s used so often is that it also smells delicious. Melt ½ cup of coconut oil over very low heat. Once it’s cool, pour it over 1 cup of sea salt. Use this mixture while in the shower to exfoliate and rejuvenate your entire body. Rinse thoroughly before getting out of the shower. This is a wonderful moisturizing solution that is inexpensive and all natural.
Use an avocado hair mask to treat brittle dry hair. One main reason avocado oil is so good for your hair is that it has a high monounsaturated fatty acid content which is even higher than extra virgin olive oil. Monounsaturated fats, when applied directly in a hair mask, can moisture, nourish and strengthen hair strands, improving the way they look and protecting them from damage. Mash one ripe avocado and mix it with one egg yolk, add one tablespoon of coconut oil and massage the mixture into your hair and scalp. Leave in for 15-20 minutes, then shampoo and condition. This hair mask with soften dry, brittle damaged hair and will add luster and shine.
Brighten up your skin and cure blemishes using potatoes. Potatoes are very starchy and contain potassium, vitamin B6 and vitamin C. The starch heals damage skin, while Vitamin C works as an antioxidant and clears the skin. Apply grated potato on your face daily to whiten and brighten the skin. For blemishes apply grated potatoes on the blemishes daily and rinse off after 10 minutes. Continue this process for a month to get rid of blemishes.
